The Romanian government, through Prime Minister Florin Citu, has today a new official announcement regarding the total quarantine that many people are talking about at the moment, and says that this is not in the authorities' plan at the moment.
The Romanian government will not re-impose total quarantine on the territory of our country in the near future, the plan being to enforce compliance with preventive measures, but beyond that, the reintroduction of total quarantine is not taken into account.
"I participated in the technical meeting at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to make sure that the objectives we set regarding the pandemic are met.
The number of hospital beds has increased.
I appeal to Romanians to respect the protective measures. That's the only way we'll get through this period.
My objective is that through vaccination we reduce the number of infections. In the following period, the number of people immunized daily will reach 80 thousand.
Many people are asking if we will end up in lockdown again.
My very clear answer is NO.”
