Valeriu Gheorghita says that a fourth wave of infections with the new Coronavirus is expected by the Romanian authorities, and this is because such a trend has already started in Great Britain, and the Indian strain is responsible for what is happening there.
Valeriu Gheorghita says that the intensity of this new wave will depend on how many people will be vaccinated, in Great Britain the number of cases is increasing, although a much higher percentage of people, compared to Romania, is vaccinated.
"We were expecting a 4th wave and the duration and intensity of the 4th wave depends on how well we will be protected at the collective level. That is precisely why it is important to understand that this pandemic is not over, the virus is still circulating and the risk of mutated viral strains is increased, as long as we still have a population susceptible to the disease."
