Romanian Government: Vaccination on the Transalpina this Summer

Romanian Government Transalpina Vaccination

The Romanian government has announced, through the Valcea Prefect's Institution, the organization of a drive-through vaccination center on the Transalpina, at the highest altitude where vaccines have been given so far in Romania, which comes as great news.

"Vaccinate yourself at height, among the clouds!
Under the authority of the Prefect's Institution - Vâlcea County, on Saturday, July 17, a drive-through vaccination center will be opened on Transalpina, the highest road in Romania.
The center, unique in our country, will initially operate only on July 17, between 10.00:18.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX, where the Pfizer and Janssen sera will be administered (single-dose vaccine produced by the Johnson&Johnson company).
We make it clear that those who choose to immunize themselves against COVID-19 with the Pfizer serum can present themselves for a booster at any vaccination center (fixed or mobile) in the country, where this type of vaccine is administered.
"It is a special opportunity for those who love mountains and hiking to enjoy the spectacular view that this mountain road, unique in the entire chain of the Carpathian Mountains, offers. The center will be located right at the highest point of the road – Pasul Urdele, at an altitude of 2.145 meters. I invite all those who have not yet been immunized against COVID-19 and want to visit this area to stop by this vaccination center on July 17. It will definitely be an unforgettable experience. Every person who gets vaccinated is important and only together, showing that we care about our health and the health of our loved ones, can we defeat this pandemic", said the Prefect of Vâlcea County, Sebastian Fârtat.
At this immunization center on the Transaplina road, all people who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19, regardless of their place of residence, can come with only their ID and without a prior appointment."
