Romania: Restrictions Reimposed due to the Explosion of Cases

Romania Reimposed Restrictions Cause of Explosion Cases

Romania is going through an explosion of new cases of Coronavirus in full wave 4 of infections, and this is because the Delta variant is the most contagious so far and with a small number of vaccinations at national level, our country is starting to feel the effect of this combination not very happy.

Romania has more and more counties that are approaching incidence rates of 1/1000 inhabitants, those from which the restrictions that were lifted over the summer are starting to be reimposed, several localities in the country have already reimposed restrictions because they even exceeded well this threshold.

Romania registers increases of over 50% in new daily cases from one week to the next, so that today we have almost 2300 new confirmed cases, although a week ago there were only a little over 1500, and this situation has been visible for over 2 weeks already.

Romania has 5.2 million fully vaccinated people, i.e. somewhere around 30% of the population that can be vaccinated, around half compared to the average of Western countries, and this can be seen in the over 50% increase in new cases from one week to other.

Romania Reimposed Restrictions Cause of the Explosion Cases table

Romania will most likely have re-imposed restrictions at the level of the ones in the spring of this year after the incidence rates will initially exceed 1/1000 inhabitants, then 2/1000 inhabitants, and so on, especially since school will start on the day of months all over the country.
