The Location Form: Since when is it Mandatory, Who Must Complete it?

The localization form, when mandatory, who must complete it

The localization form must be completed by all Romanians who return to Romania starting from tomorrow, the Government adopting a decision in this regard just a few days ago. I have already told you that this localization form for entering Romania is mandatory from December 20th, because throughout Europe it will be used by the states that are part of the European Union to keep track of people moving through their borders.

The localization form, or the digital entry form in Romania, can be filled out today by Romanians from all over the country at plf.gov.ro, where a special interface is made available to quickly enter all the data required by travelers . STS created this location form for Romania, and the data that is transmitted there will only be used by the authorities in the event that an epidemiological investigation will be necessary to detect a chain of infections, at least theoretically.

Location form, when must it be completed and by whom?

The localization form must be completed no later than 24 hours before entering Romania by any person who wants to enter the country, regardless of where they are returning from, so it does not matter if you come from within the European Union or from outside it. This obligation exists for absolutely all persons, whether they are citizens of Romania or not, so you must take care to have this localization form completed before you present yourself at the borders of our country to enter the country.

According to the Romanian Government, all Romanians who enter the country must have a localization form, but only one person can complete it for all other family members, and in the case of minors, the parent or guardian is the person responsible for completing it. If people show up at the border who do not have the completed location form, they can enter the country, but they must complete it within a maximum of 24 hours of entry, otherwise they will be fined 2000-3000 LEI.

How to complete the localization form?

The location form can be completed following the procedure presented in the video clip above, and from the beginning you must know that an email address is required to complete it, and to access it later. If you do not have an email address, you must contact someone who has one, and if you made a mistake in this localization form, then you cannot edit it, but you must create another following the same procedure used for its initial creation, according to Government of Romania.

We will have a location form from now on for the entire duration of the Coronavirus pandemic, and this is because another solution for simplifying epidemiological investigations does not exist at the moment both in our country and anywhere in the world. Many other countries have been using various versions of these localization forms for a very long time, so we do not see in Romania anything different from what happens in other countries, but only a late implementation of a system that could be extremely useful.
