The divergences between the actors in the Fast & Furious franchise continue, Dwayne Johnson accusing Vin Diesel of manipulation, and making the decision not to be part of the cast of Fast & Furious 10. Thus, "The Rock" responds negatively to the invitation to play in the next part of the saga, wishing the team on the set much success.
The relationship between the two Hollywood stars is a very cold one, the basis of the problem being the rivalry of the two actors. Thus, after the premiere of the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, with Jason Statham in the lead role in 2019, Dwayne Johnson announced his departure from the franchise because of the strained relationship he has with Vin Diesel, who plays the character Dominic Toretto. The relationship between the two was never a very good one, even if in the promotional events of the films it seemed very familiar.
Even though Vin Diesel tried to reconcile with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last November, he reaffirmed his departure from the Fast & Furious franchise. In a recent interview with CNN, he addressed some harsh words to Vin Diesel: "It is an example of his manipulation. I told him directly that I will not return to the franchise. I was firm but cordial and said that I would always support the distribution, and that I would want the franchise to be successful. Vin's last public text was an example of manipulation. I didn't like that it used children, or the death of Paul Walker."
However, the famous actor wished good luck to the team behind Fast & Furious: "My goal from the beginning was to end the incredible journey with this franchise with gratitude and grace. It is unfortunate that this public conversation has disturbed everything. In any case, I trust the Fast & Furious universe, and its ability to satisfy the public. From the bottom of my heart, I wish good luck to my former co-stars, and the team, and success for the next film." concluded Dwayne Johnson.
The Fast & Furious franchise was very successful among the public, and over the years no less than 9 films were made, which brought huge revenues to the production team and the stars. The public is waiting for the 10th film, but we still don't know when it will premiere on the big screens.
