Lionel Messi: Reasons for the Decision to LEAVE PSG for Barcelona

Lionel Messi Reasons for PARASI PSG Barcelona Decision

Lionel Messi, winner of the Ballon d'Or for the seventh time, is probably the most loved soccer player on the planet at the moment. He was transferred in the summer of 2021 from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, the move being considered by the French media as a good opportunity for the Parisian team to win the Champions League in 2022. Recently, Messi had problems related to the infection with COVID -19, revealing that the recovery took longer than initially anticipated.

Lionel Messi, after moving from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, seems not to be going through a good period, at least in the championship games, in 11 appearances he scored only one goal for the Parisian team. Although Messi reunited with his former teammate, Neymar, in the last games the Argentinian's performance was low. This would be due, say some sources in the French press, to the fact that his family is unable to adapt to the new life in Paris. The sporting form of the striker but also the infection with COVID-19 from the last few weeks make things not work very well for the club, but not for his family either.

Lionel Messi, according to the French press, would have received from his wife, Antonella Raccuzzo, the suggestion that she and the children return to their old home, Castelldefels, in Barcelona. Messi's family does not manage to adapt to the weather conditions in the French capital, and the language is also a problem for them.

Considering the way things are evolving at the moment, Lionel Messi will probably try to return to the Barcelona club, this and after his old friend Dani Alves returned there, as well as his former teammate Xavi, in the position of coach. But things are not so simple for the Argentine, because the separation from the Catalan club was not too happy, and the relations with the president Laporta are not so good anymore, thanks to the way I was removed from the Camp Nou.

Lionel Messi's contract with Paris Saint Germain is valid for 2 years, plus another optional one, his salary being a fabulous one. Thus, the Argentinian striker receives 30 million euros for the first year, and in the next two he will receive 40 million euros each, provided that Lionel Messi completes the entire contract he signed with Paris Saint-Germain.
