Valeriu Gheorghita: Worrying Warning of the Last Hour for All Romanians

Valeriu Gheorghita Alarming Warning Last Time All Romanians

Valeriu Gheorghita speaks to millions of Romanians from all over the country, and not only, about a very worrying warning that should be on everyone's attention, and this is because she brings up the problems brought by the Omicron variant that are ignored by many people.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that the Omicron version remains very dangerous because it is highly transmissible, and for Romania the situation can become critical very quickly due to the very small number of people vaccinated up to now.

"I would have some question marks regarding the position of the experts and the analyzes done. At the moment, we can no longer see how it behaves, what is the aggressiveness of a viral variant in its natural history, because already the countries where it is reported, and where these virulence analyzes were done, are countries with very high rates of vaccination, especially in the elderly and people with chronic diseases.

A man who already has a certain degree of protection, when he gets an infection with this Omicron variant, obviously I cannot analyze the extent to which he naturally behaves as this varied aggression. Here the data are still preliminary and the outcount data from countries with high vaccination rates cannot be compared with countries like Romania, where the vaccination rate is low.

If we look, most of the cases are reported in big cities, where there are urban agglomerations, where there is an increased population density, which means that, if we look at the daily reports, there are more than 1000 people with reinfection every day, or from the data INSP, 45% of those reported infected, also have a history of vaccination.

The high level of protection of those vaccinated or cured reduces the number of hospitalizations, but the very high transmissibility and the generation of very many cases in number means that this trend will probably be maintained during this period, because if we look at the base rate of reproduction, it is growing.

The reproduction rate reaches 2, which means that an infected person generates 2 other cases in turn at a short time interval of 2-3 days, which means that the doubling time of cases is short, and we will probably have an increasing number of cases."
