Raed Arafat spoke about the lifting of the restrictions imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic in Romania, the head of the DSU trying to explain that in order for these restrictions to be lifted, a serious analysis of the impact on the medical system is needed.
Raed Arafat is not the first to make this kind of statement, and this is because he also stated that the lifting of restrictions depends to a large extent on how the pandemic will evolve in the following weeks, the decrease in the number of daily cases being essential for returning to normality.
"In order to raise measures, you must first see that the impact on the health system has really decreased. Today we had an additional 14 people in the intensive care units in the country, that is, even if the total number of cases is decreasing, we still see a continuous increase in the number of cases in the intensive care units.
We are approaching a moment when relaxation measures will be taken, without any discussion, as all the other countries around us have taken, but this moment will be correlated, of course, with the decrease of the impact on the hospitals, intensive care units .”
