Andrei Baciu: Latest Information, Radical Changes Confirmed

Andrei Baciu confirms a series of radical changes that have already been decided for Romania, and that will have an impact for millions of Romanians, and this is because it was decided to offer the possibility of vaccination through family doctors, but only on the basis of an appointment by the Romanians.

Andrei Baciu says that appointments can be made by phone by people, but also that the current vaccination appointment platform will be reused for other purposes that aim to improve the experience that Romanians have when they call on public medical services.

"Penta keeps, for example, vaccines of mRNA types, if you keep them at lower temperatures, you can keep them for longer periods of time. If you keep them at "normal" temperatures, 2-8 degrees, they can be kept the same as the other vaccines, in ordinary refrigerators, at family doctors, there are no problems in terms of storage and safety.

Things are already clear and there is no problem from this perspective, so the vaccination procedures will take place in the same environment from now on. Whoever wants to do it, will still be able to do it. We will try to use all this infrastructure, because we have important platforms that have been built.

Platforms that are, I think for the first time in Romania, several databases have been correlated. When you did an RT-PCR test, it was registered in Corona Forms, and it is the first time that such large systems and databases were connected, and they were connected by another state institution.

There will be a scheduling method through which Romanians will be able to call and make appointments with family doctors for vaccination, and we are thinking of using this platform for a wider purpose in the health field, because behind it there is a lot of technical work ample that we don't want to let go to waste, but on the contrary to use it, but when we have a final decision, we will announce it.

It is far from an acceptable answer (n. ed. the refusal of doctors to make a vaccine by opening a vial only for one patient), this was one of the difficult decisions taken, at the CNCAV level. The decision says that any person who presents himself at a vaccination center, regardless of those present, must be vaccinated."
