The message of the Government of Romania for all Romanians

The Romanian government has published the traditional Easter message for millions of Romanians throughout the country, and below you can see what the Prime Minister of Romania is sending to all Romanians.

"The message of Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă on the occasion of Orthodox Easter.

The Easter holidays come with hope in our strength to overcome the difficulties of life, with the joy of the moments spent with all our loved ones and with the desire to help our fellows who are going through difficult times. The complicated times we live in now highlight the need for understanding between people, solidarity and unity.

We have all gone through a very difficult time, marked by the pandemic crisis, and many of us have gone through the painful experience of losing loved ones. Now we mourn the horrors of a war that contradicts all the values that the Lord's Resurrection urges us to cherish. The space of Christianity is meant to be one of unity around the Resurrection of the Lord. Before sharing the joy of the Resurrection, we are obliged to forgive and help - and we, the Romanians, have fully demonstrated our solidarity and I am convinced that we will continue on this path.

May the Light we take from the Light on this holy night of the Resurrection guide all our thoughts and actions for a better world, where life and peace are valued as they should be.

I wish and wish that we remain united around this great holiday, as one big family in the face of challenges, sufferings and conflicts of any kind. I hope that after all this period of "passion" we will be able to receive together in our souls the light and peace of Christ's Resurrection.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with all who need help.

Happy holidays, with tranquility and peace, to all believers who celebrate the Orthodox Easter!

Christ is Risen!"
