Telekom has issued an urgent warning that targets all its customers in Romania at the moment, and this is because we are talking about a very serious problem that they need to know about. Some of you probably already know that in the last few days there have been numerous announcements from the authorities, and not only, in connection with a phishing attack carried out via SMS, and Telekom fix is ​​now notifying its customers all over the country, who are potential victims.

Telekom tells people that they must be extremely vigilant, and that if they receive an SMS or MMS message, like the one in the image below, they should refrain from interacting with it. Just like in the warnings from other telecommunications operators, Telekom also tells people that they should not access the links that are included in these messages, and that they should not install any application, if they are asked to do so .

Telekom also says that if we still install the applications with malware recommended by messages of this kind, we should not grant them the permissions they ask for, and that way we protect ourselves to a good extent. In the same idea, Telekom says that we should follow the instructions of those from DNSC to remove the possible malware from the phones and not to be spied on from a distance by those who created this malware, and are distributing it now.

Telekom does not say this, but in some cases personal information may also be requested in campaigns of this kind, or even the data of the bank cards that we hold. It is very important that we do not comply with these requests, and this is because it is possible that we will even be left without money, the people from Telekom telling people to be extremely vigilant in order not to become the targets of hackers who want nothing more than to harm them through campaigns of this type.
