The European Commission grants aid of another 1 billion euros to Ukraine

The European Commission proposes to grant a new aid worth 1 billion euros to Ukraine in the immediate following period, the amount of money being part of an assistance package agreed in May by the countries of the European community, so the chances that the money will actually be sent are as high as possible.

Ursula Von der Leyen made the official announcement regarding this proposal, the president of the European Commission having a variety of important initiatives to help the country that was invaded on February 24 by Russia, and that is still fighting to maintain its sovereignty and a large part of the territory, intact.

In recent months, the European Commission has donated several billion euros to Ukraine, either in the form of cash, or in the form of military or humanitarian aid, so we are talking about a sustained and very important aid benefiting the country invaded by Russia on of February 24 of this year.

"Today we propose 1 billion euros for Ukraine. The first part of the macro-financial assistance package announced in May. It will help meet urgent needs in the country. The EU will continue to provide aid to Ukraine and, in the long term, support its reconstruction."
