Netflix confirms subscriptions with ads for platform subscribers

Netflix confirms ad subscriptions to platform subscribers

Netflix has officially confirmed, through the communication team in France, the fact that we will see ads on the video streaming platform on demand when we watch movies or series, something we heard just a few weeks before, but only within some special subscriptions that will be offered.

I told you then that Netflix wants to make a series of cheaper subscriptions for those people who don't have the money to pay a standard subscription, or don't want to do it, so they will be able to pay less for a cheaper subscription, something which of course is excellent news, but they will also have to put up with the advertisements that come with it.

One of the presidents of the Netflix company announced as early as May that they were discussing the launch of a subscription that would be cheaper but have ads, and now we have an official confirmation that it will come, but for now there is no clear date where it could be made available to people all over the world.

"We don't have a precise schedule yet. We are actively working on this as a priority, this idea of offering more options to our subscribers in a context of high inflation. Every major streaming company except Apple has or has announced an ad-supported service. For good reason, people want lower-priced options.”

Netflix needs a cheaper subscription because competing streaming platforms have options of this kind for their subscribers, because they are cheaper, and because people don't want to pay a lot of money on several platforms at the same time, preferring to see ads, but to have more viewing options.
