Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca's message regarding the problems generated by the drought

Nicolae Ciuca, the Prime Minister of Romania, sends a very important message to the Romanians regarding the attention they must pay to extreme weather phenomena, more precisely drought and its effects, so that they rationally consume available water in such a way that there is water drinkable without interruption everywhere in the country.

Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca's message on the problems caused by the drought

"We have noticed, in the last few days, manifestations of extreme weather phenomena. We are not only talking about the heavy rains that have generated local flooding, but we are also discussing the effects of the drought.

It is very important to inform the citizens correctly, so that we all understand that these are phenomena that we cannot control, and what concerns rational consumption is a civic duty of each of us. It is necessary to maintain this dialogue with the citizens, from the governmental level as well as from the local authorities, to inform the population in order to be able to understand what the real situation is.

The steps we have taken up to this point must be consolidated and must be multiplied to assure the citizens that we are able to provide the quantities of drinking water where it is needed and where they are facing pedological drought."
