Lithuania would ask the citizens of Russia and Belarus to declare at Granita if they support the war in Ukraine

Lithuania would have taken an unexpected decision regarding the citizens of Russia and Belarus who try to enter its territory, and the customs officials would ask these people to sign a declaration stating whether or not they agree with the war on which Russia started in Ukraine.

The purpose of this declaration would be based on the desire of the Lithuanian government to find out which of the people who enter the country may represent a risk for national security, and we are talking about a declaration that has not been used by any country in the European Union until now, but in times like these anything becomes possible.

"Latvian border guards on the border with the Russian Federation ask Russians to sign a document condemning the war in Ukraine. Citizens of Russia and Belarus to increase controls at border checkpoints.

The purpose of these checks is to identify persons who support the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and who may pose a threat to the national security of Latvia."
