Google Tries to Force Apple to Make iPhone MAJOR Change exists Android

Google is starting to put pressure on Apple to implement in iOS and iPhone a major change that has existed on Android for years, and which would be beneficial for billions of people all over the world, if those from Cupertino would also like to do it. You probably know, if you use an Android phone, that Google has implemented in its operating system a technology called RCS, that is, a kind of iMessage that works through telephone networks in tandem with an Internet connection.

RCS is practically a universal iMessage, which would be available in both iPhone and Android, eliminating the need to use various messaging applications to send messages, photos, high-resolution video clips, between any kind of phones. Android has RCS implemented natively, and many mobile phone operators support this standard, including many phone manufacturers, with Google wanting to make it popular among iPhone users as well.

Google wants to force Apple to implement RCS in the iPhone as well

Apple has refused for years to implement the RCS standard in iOS and iPhone to force customers to use iMessage to communicate with other people who have iDevices, and use third-party applications for the rest of the world. If now when we send a message from the iPhone to an Android phone, using the native messaging application, it is sent in SMS format, or MMS if it has a picture or a video, RCS would send it the same way as I have it send on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, etc.

Android has implemented technology that would make billions of people's lives much easier, and Apple could implement the same technology in iPhone and iOS, according to Google, without affecting in any way the way iMessage works. Google makes it clear that iMessage would continue to work as before for iDevice users, but when people want to communicate with people who have Android, they would automatically use the RCS system.

"It's time for Apple to fix messaging. It's not about the color of the bubbles. It's blurry videos, broken group chats, missing read receipts and typing indicators, no text messages over Wi-Fi, and more. These problems exist because Apple refuses to adopt modern texting standards when people with iPhones and Android phones can text each other."

Google has started a public campaign through which it wants to convince the world to put pressure on Apple to integrate support for RCS in iPhone and iOS, but if you know how the company from Cupertino works, then you surely know that it will not give in to this pressure.
