The Minister of Labor: LAST HOUR, by what amount of money will the salaries of the budget workers increase in August

The Minister of Labor reveals how much the budget workers' salaries would increase starting this autumn, in September the first increased salaries will be transferred, and Marius Budai says that it would only be about amounts between 70-80 LEI and 100-150 of LEI based on the increase.

The Minister of Labor does not say for now what kind of budgetary impact these measures will have, because there is still no exact calculation due to the vacancies that still appear in the databases, so only after the first month of payment will it be clear how much money is spent in addition, the Government with these increases made.

"Because we know the economic period we are all going through, we must take care equally of the economic side, and of each salary branch, and I am referring here both to employees from the budgetary system and to employees from the private sector, and especially, first of all, as I said so far, to the vulnerable categories.

Yes, as I said, starting from August 1st, we grant one-fourth of the salary difference that will be collected in September, the source of funding being the state budget, in accordance with the legal provisions, because there were other vacancies that were not busy, so there is a funding source to be able to make these increases.

We are after a period in which for 2 years nothing positive happened because something negative happened, and practically we have to create this balance between supporting the citizens and supporting the economy. We are working on this and looking for solutions, we don't have to sit and hide behind "we can't, we have no way, we will analyze", etc.

It is not a very big increase in wages, from 70-80 LEI to 100-150 LEI, it is not a big increase. We will see the real impact after we make the first month's payment. This budgetary effort... we are reserved to "throw" numbers now, because everything that appears from the database, there are also vacant, unfilled positions.

We prefer to make the first month's payment, and then tell the exact figures, because now the figure is not exact, but approximate. From January 1, the minimum pension increased by 25%, and the value of the pension point increased by 10%. We also have a thought for what is happening with the pension system and with the salary system in Romania."
