DACIA, one of the largest car manufacturers in the world, and the largest in Romania, is currently in the process of preparing the launch of at least two new models of important cars, and one of them is called the Bigster. As you already know very well, the Bigster is a larger version of the Duster, it will be launched by DACIA for the first time in 2023, according to the latest information, and the news is getting interesting.
DACIA would use in the Bigster model a modified version of the hybrid propulsion system that will be integrated in the Jogger, and will also end up in the Duster 3, and this is because it wants to offer customers the best possible experience for the car that they will buy. According to some rumors from the French press, DACIA is going to offer the Bigster a 1.8 E-Tech hybrid traction system, with an internal combustion engine with 4 cylinders, and Atkinson cycle technology.

DACIA will offer a bit more power for the Bigster with this superior engine, probably over 150 horsepower and a higher torque than in the case of the engine that will be used in the Duster 3 and the Jogger. The difference brought by this 1.8 E-Tech hybrid system is given by the fact that the Bigster will be a bigger car and will have more space to implement a more powerful propulsion system, which of course is good news for us.
DACIA would like to sell the Bigster about a year away from the moment when the Duster 3 will be officially announced, but considering the important changes that are expected, it is possible that the selling price will be much higher. It is not yet known how big the price difference between Bigster and Duster 3 will be, but it is possible that DACIA will ask for several thousand euros, so it is good to be prepared for this when it is announced.
DACIA would officially announce the Bigster in the fall of 2024, with a 2025 launch, but for now these plans are not 100% certain, so it is better to see them as such until they are officially announced to the whole world.
