Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases on September 7, 2022

Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases September 7, 2022

Romania is currently in a phase of constant decrease in new cases of Coronavirus, which comes as excellent news because school has started, and the number of young people who interact without measures to prevent the spread is high.

The coronavirus continues to exist in communities all over Romania, and this is because transmission remains high, so we still need to be careful not to infect ourselves, but also not to infect other people we interact with, especially in closed spaces .

The authorities in Romania do not intend to introduce new restrictions in Romania in the next period, something that should not surprise us if we think about the fact that measures of this kind are no longer popular, but at European level the thinking is completely opposite.

The coronavirus is still present throughout Europe, and the 7th wave of infections expected for this fall could bring new measures to prevent the spread, including the obligation to use protective masks indoors, at least in many countries in central and western Europe.

"In the last 24 hours, 2.227 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, with 649 less than the previous day. 471 of the new cases in 24 hours are of reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 126 people were reconfirmed positive.

In specialized health units, the number of people hospitalized in wards with COVID-19 is 2.018, 127 less than the previous day. Also, 157 people are hospitalized at ATI, 8 less than the previous day. Of the 157 patients admitted to ATI, 131 are unvaccinated.

Of the total number of admitted patients, 216 are minors, 214 being admitted to wards, 25 fewer than the previous day, and 2 to ATI, 1 less than the previous day.

In the last 24 hours, 3.576 RT-PCR tests (2.193 based on case definition and medical protocol and 1.383 on request) and 14.096 rapid antigen tests were performed. Until this date, at the national level, they have been processed
13.445.708 RT-PCR tests and 11.318.597 rapid antigen tests.”
