Minister of Health LAST TIME Measures of National Importance to All Romanians

The Minister of Health has made a new important last-minute announcement that he is sending to millions of Romanians throughout the country, and this is because he brings to people's attention what is happening with the financing program for PNRR projects dedicated to family doctors' offices.

The Minister of Health explains below how 180 million euros will be allocated through the PNRR for family doctors' offices throughout the country in order to modernize them, so that Romanians will benefit from much better quality medical services in the future.

"For the correct information of public opinion, the Ministry of Health makes the following clarifications regarding the projects within the PNRR dedicated to family doctors. The financing program has a total budget of €180.450.000 (without VAT) and is carried out by 2 methods:

Preselected list: An allocation of €135.337.500 (without VAT) which will finance 2.250 associations/family doctor's offices; Non-competitive call: An allocation of €45.112.500 (without VAT) for a call for projects that will take place on the basis of the principle: "first come - first served" for the financing of 750 associations/family doctor's offices.

On September 26, 2022, the situation is as follows: 759 files were submitted for the preselected list, the deadline being October 14, 2022. For the non-competitive call, 1.053 files were submitted, and they entered the evaluation stage.

If on October 14, 2022, the number of 2.250 requests is not completed, the reserve list of 1.000 associations/cabinets published on the page dedicated to the project will be used. Afterwards, if the minimum request threshold is not reached, the call will be opened for all rural family doctors.

The objective of the funding program is for family doctors to have offices equipped to international standards, which allow the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients without the need for them to go to other medical institutions. The beneficiary's guide was published in public transparency in June 2022, and the call for the submission of files was launched on August 04, 2022. To support family doctors, the Ministry of Health formulated simplified submission procedures.

The Ministry of Health has constantly published on the page dedicated to the project, a series of instructions and examples of completing the annexes. The Beneficiary's Guide includes numerous information on how to prepare files, the eligibility of applicants, respectively the ways to contact the PNRR team within the Ministry of Health (page 15 of the Beneficiary's Guide, section 4.2. The employees of the Ministry of Health responded with priority to the requests of family doctors, respectively, they drew up instructions in the shortest possible time to clarify the cases invoked by them.
