Minister of Health: Announcement of Major Importance with National Impact for Hospitals

Minister of Health Important Announcement Major Impact National Hospitals

The Minister of Health sends Romanians from all over the country an extremely important announcement for millions of people, and this is because the decisions that are taken have a national impact in hospitals, the Romanian Government wishes to complete the list of 49 health objectives to be achieved with money from PNRR.

The Minister of Health says that next week the list of criteria on the basis of which these objectives must be chosen should be drawn up, and then the list with them should be approved, and beyond that, the construction of the objectives must be completed by 2026 so that Romanians can benefit from services quality in hospitals, and not only.

"The project will definitely be evaluated after the Romanian Government approves the eligibility criteria based on which the evaluation and eligibility of the 25 objectives out of the total of 49 will be made. From what I know, because the ministry initiated this Government decision, probably during the next week the Romanian Government, and I hope it will be so, will approve these criteria by decision.

Then we will be able to immediately take the following steps so that all those who are on that list of 49 preselected by the previous Government can submit their application, and immediately enter the evaluation, so that by the end of the year we will have an approved list, as well by Government decision, and to be able to proceed to the conclusion of financial assistance contracts within the PNRR.

We really want this, we don't have a lot of time available, because of this we are all waiting for the Government's decision regarding the approval of the criteria, and as soon as possible to move to the design stage, and later to the hospital construction stage, because the deadline by which they must be executed is June 30, 2026.

Of course, I have no way of knowing which of the hospitals will be eligible, but my opinion is that for Brasov, considering the pathology that these units assume, i.e. infectious diseases, pulmonology, and people infected with the tubercle bacillus, it is a disease which is considered a priority, and we also saw during the pandemic that there is a need for such units that allow the treatment of patients with respiratory diseases.

Another important thing, to allow rehabilitation, because we are talking about Long COVID, about the recovery and rehabilitation of patients who have gone through various diseases, and respiratory pathology is one of those that require these things, including at Sacele we discussed the possibility of organizing there a palliation and recovery area."
