Minister of Health LAST TIME Official Announcements Major Impact Romanians

The Minister of Health made a series of last-minute announcements for the millions of Romanians throughout the country, and this is because a series of important decisions were made for all of Romania, the authorities in our country deciding to establish in a first phase the way in which the title of specialist doctor in emergency medicine is obtained.

The Minister of Health also talks about the methodology for conducting the residency admission contest in dental medicine and pharmacy, both announcements concerning millions of Romanians from the whole country who should know about what is happening with Romanian doctors.

"Specifications regarding the exam for obtaining the title of specialist in Emergency Medicine. For the correct information of the population, the Ministry of Health makes the following clarifications in relation to the exam for obtaining the title of specialist in Emergency Medicine:

The specialist doctor exam in the Emergency Medicine specialty is conducted differently compared to the other medical specialties for which the exam is held in this session. The separate methodology was developed in 2012 by the Department for Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health.

All 92 candidates were informed that the exam will take place on the first day of the announced period, i.e. 12.10.2022. The exam had as announced locations: Bucharest (Bucuresti Emergency Clinical Hospital) and Târgu Mureș (Târgu Mureș Emergency County Clinical Hospital). The lists of candidates assigned to the two centers were published on 10.10.2022.

The exam boards, which can be communicated according to the methodology a maximum of 24 hours in advance, were published on the website of the Ministry of Health before the start of the exam, at 10.45 am. The chairpersons and members of the examination boards were previously notified and were present at the two locations mentioned. Knowing the composition of the commissions does not influence the conduct of the exam tests.

On October 06, 2022, the Ministry of Health published in decisional transparency the draft order regarding the approval of the Methodology for conducting the on-the-spot and post-residency admission contest in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy - the session of November 20, 2022. Among the provisions of the draft, the order there is also an increase in the pass threshold necessary to choose a place or position in residency, to 65% of the maximum score achieved at national level for the 200 questions for each field, compared to the minimum score of 60% that represented the pass threshold in the year previous."
