The Minister of Health WARNS Millions of Romanians Bring IMMEDIATE Attention

The Minister of Health is warning the Romanians from the whole country at the moment, and this because it brings to the immediate attention of millions of people from the whole country one of the most serious problems that exists at the moment, more precisely the overcrowding of the emergency departments in the cause of viruses.

The Minister of Health refers to children's hospitals that are overloaded due to the very large number of visits that are made due to the large number of infections that exist following the abandonment of measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, and below you can read his recommendations.

"I would like to say that it is not an unusual situation, unfortunately on weekend evenings or nights, people have nowhere to turn to medical services, with the exception of units or emergency departments, and this creates congestion. Then we have to find a solution, and already from next week we are trying to replicate a model used in the pandemic.

We want to see if we can manage, together with the National Health Insurance House, which should finance such services, to organize specialized outpatient clinics that will operate in extended hours, including on weekends, at least on Saturdays. During the rest of the week, my advice for parents who have sick children with moderate symptoms is not to go to emergency departments.

Not because I have anything against this, but the waiting time is very long, even at the Grigore Alexandrescu Children's Hospital, where there are 400 presentations to the emergency unit every day, and if there are mild forms of the disease, virosis, the cold, should not present itself, because that prolonged waiting time, especially in the presence of other children with other diseases, can favor the transmission of another infection.

My advice is to call the family doctor both during the week, it is very important to receive a medical recommendation, and not to give antibiotics to the child. I have seen quite a few discussions that now in the season of viruses there are no antibiotics. Viruses are not treated with antibiotics, this is a major mistake, and I would not want parents to have to understand to stock up on antibiotics.

Just 2 days ago, the European week for the awareness of the use of antibiotics started, and the clear recommendation is not to give antibiotics to viruses, because they do not improve the situation, but on the contrary, they select bacteria that become resistant to antibiotics. If it is necessary to take an antibiotic, it must be prescribed by a doctor, I am not saying that it is not useful, but in bacterial infections."
