The WHO is alarming all countries around the world with a very worrying announcement that it published at the last minute, and which should reach the attention of as many people as possible at the moment, and this is because it brings to our attention the serious problems that the Coronavirus can still generate.
The WHO says that a year has passed since the appearance of the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus, the one that remains dominant throughout the world, but the one that now has over 500 subvariants, a spectacular increase from the 300 announced just a month ago followed, and the virus continues to evolve at an alarming rate during this period.
The WHO reaffirms the fact that the real number of people who are infected with the Coronavirus in the whole world is now extremely seriously underestimated due to the substantial reduction in the number of tests and sequences done at global level, the situation being one of concern, so it is still requested to grant increased attention for monitoring.
The WHO says that although so far no other worrisome variant of the Coronavirus has appeared, Omicron remaining dominant, it is always possible to discover a strain that causes even greater problems, especially since the monitoring of the evolution of the virus is done in a way less careful than in past years, when there were many pandemic waves.
