The Minister of Health Confirms the LAST MINUTE Measures Taken for Millions of Romanians in 2023

The Minister of Health officially confirms the very important measures that are being taken for Romanians throughout the country during 2023, and this is because they will have a major impact among many people, because major investments will be made in the country's hospitals, in especially in skies that need renovations.

The Minister of Health explains below how these very important measures are planned for hospitals throughout Romania during 2023, and this is because the money allocated through the PNRR for the modernization of hospitals in Romania will actually reach the medical units after the completion of the lists with objectives in which they must investments are made.

"There are many public hospitals, I went to 20-30 hospitals in the country, and there are many places where the conditions in public hospitals are very good. They are perfectly comparable to those at private hospitals. I would not like to say that nothing happened in Romania, but on the other hand, because there are over 400 public hospitals, some of those in small towns have not been rehabilitated.

For the first time after 30 years, we made an inventory of subordinate hospitals to see what investments have been made, and where they must be made in the first instance, having already provided money from 2023 for a staged rehabilitation program for the hospitals located under the ministry. The local authorities, unlike the ministry, have done more in the last 30 years.

I think it's time to move on to rehabilitating hospitals, especially since some of them are excellent institutions with extraordinary staff. It is important for the patients to benefit from appropriate conditions of stay in the large public hospitals, which are subordinate to the ministry.

Some hospitals asked for money for specialized outpatient clinics that belong to them, but also for combating nosocomial infections, but also for neonatology departments, projects being submitted according to expectations. With regard to new hospitals, or in which buildings are to be built, or even entire hospitals through the PNRR, we are waiting for the preformed list available to end there.

There were 49 objectives, but unfortunately they were not territorially balanced, because there are counties that do not have any objective included on this list, instead there are other counties with 3, or even 4, objectives. The goal of any infrastructure development program should be to reduce the gaps, not to accentuate the gaps in terms of access to medical services."
