Minister of Health IMPORTANT Official Message Millions of Romanians Country

The Minister of Health has an extremely important message for millions of Romanians across the country at the moment, and this is because he brings to everyone's attention the fact that if they need medicines during this period, they should ask pharmacies, including substitutes for popular medicines, if the active substance is the same.

The Minister of Health says that in Romania there are stocks of ibuprofen and paracetamol, even if there are alternatives for the most popular drugs, and separately from that he says that the projects for hospitals, and not only, financed by PNRR, should be completed in maximum 3.5 years of beneficiaries.

"When you go to the pharmacy, you don't have to ask for Nurofen, you have to ask for a product that has Ibuprofen. If by chance there is Nurofen, you take Nurofen, if there is another product, you can take another product, or this must be understood, that the manufacturer is not important. All these products are made and approved at the level of technology approved in the European Union.

They all have GMP, and the fact that they are on the market shows that they are safe, and they are effective, so we don't have to worry, and when we don't find a specific product, a commercial product that, I don't know, tastes like strawberries, or if we don't find that product, let's not buy another similar product that has exactly the same active substance, and that has exactly the same therapeutic effect as the product we are used to.

It's a matter of information, of communication, I checked with the manufacturers and there is both ibuprofen and paracetamol, in forms usable for adults and for children. I also had meetings with the College of Pharmacists, and with family doctors, and with DSPs, and as I said with the main producers and distributors of medicines in Romania.

More hospital constructions will start from scratch, or building bodies from scratch, several, not just one. Now, considering that the deadline for completion is 3.5 years from now, I will definitely not be a minister anymore, I definitely don't want to be a minister, but important, and this government doesn't have such a big mandate either, but if the contracts are signed, and construction begins, I see no reason for not completing them.

3.5 years is the term imposed by the European Commission, and any of the projects financed by the PNRR involve new buildings, all of which must be completed by the set deadline. We did our job, I think, with responsibility, we managed to go through all the legal stages."
