The Minister of Education explains below why digital skills are important among students, and why it is important for them to have digital knowledge so that they can protect themselves in the online environment, and not only that, being offered some important tips to keep us electronic devices safe now.

"Since 2004, February 7 is the International Internet Safety Day. It is becoming more and more difficult to control our children's access to the multitude of information and socialization tools that the Internet offers.

It becomes difficult, in the same way, to protect them from the scale that a conflict can take online and turn into cyberbullying, as it becomes almost impossible to protect them from false information that they may believe to be true .

The digital empowerment we want for all children must be accompanied by tools to help them protect themselves, recognize cyberbullying and distinguish between correct and incorrect information. What can we teach children so that the digital experience is as safe as possible? Here are some tips: Protect yourself!

Passwords are confidential! Keep them in a safe place that only you have access to! Keep personal data only for you and those you know! Keep your personal photos to yourself, they are your memories and those of your loved ones!

Check the information from at least three different sources before you consider it correct! Protect yourself and others! Avoid having an aggressive or inappropriate attitude! Do not respond to aggression with aggression! Talk to a trusted adult if you feel you are being bullied online!
