Nehammer's Austria Takes RADICAL Measures from Denmark for Romania's Acceptance in Schengen

Austria Nehammer Takes Denmark RADICAL Measures Acceptance of Romania Schengen

Austria pushed by Chancellor Karl Nehammer announces new radical measures for the whole country, and this in the conditions that we are talking about decisions that can help Romania to join Schengen much faster, and Denmark is the inspiration on which the leader of the government from Vienna is based, because of the strict rules imposed by the local government regarding asylum and migration.

Austria sent its chancellor to visit Denmark, where Nehammer tried to find out more about the Danish social aid system, in which a stay of at least 9 years, in the last 10, is required for a person to receive full social aid, otherwise, an amount halved compared to that received by a resident of at least 9 years is granted.

Austria wants to take similar measures to make the country less attractive, which would "save" the Schengen Area, and would allow the faster accession of Romania, only that Nehammer wants a residence period of 5 years, instead of 9, for the granting of social aid for the full amount, but even so, it has great problems in obtaining the support of the coalition partners for the measures.

"Denmark is a model here, there are already very strict rules here. How do you make yourself as unattractive as possible to become a country of immigration in the social system? In Denmark, you must have lived legally in the country for at least nine years in the last ten years to receive full social benefits.

Otherwise, there is only half. Our coalition partner is of course ideologically completely different, especially on migration issues, we know that since we lead the coalition, but there is also a perspective beyond that.''
