Apple willing to license certain technologies to manufacturers of Android terminals

Last week the lawyers of the Apple company they introduced to a court in Australia, a 65-page motion specifying the fact that at the moment the company from Cupertino would be willing to license certain technologies to Android terminal manufacturers. Of course, Apple does not license important technologies, but only unimportant technologies, technologies that it does not always use in legal battles and that could prove to be extremely useful for companies like Samsung that are constantly attacked by Apple.

Apple Inc was willing to discuss the concept of possible licenses. However, he emphasizes that such discussion was part of the broader discussion of a framework by which Samsung Electronics Co Limited could continue to sell its products with some elements of Apple Inc's intellectual property, such as some 'lower level patents', available to them but would cease copying the features and functionality of Apple Inc's products, and the iPad in particular.

The quote above was extracted from the motion submitted by Apple's lawyers and it indicates as clearly as possible that Apple is willing to license some patents, but only if the respective manufacturers do not copy Apple's products. For Samsung, such a license would be pointless because it would not cover the patents it is accused of having copied and it would have to change many design elements and the interface of its products. Practically everything that Apple offers is not useful for many manufacturers, but their intention represents a first step towards normality.
