Winterboard si mobile substrate updates disponibile in Cydia

  In cursul acestei zile saurik, creatorul Cydia, a lansat doua update-uri pentru Winterboard si mobile substrate, doua dintre cele mai utilizate plugin-ur din Cydia. Incep cu mobile substrate si va spun ca aceasta noua versiune a plugin-ului introduce pentru utilizatori posibilitatea de a dezactiva complet intregul plugin si asta inseamna ca orice tweak-uri dependente vor fi dezactivate prin simpla apasare indelungata a butonului de volum +(pe iPod Touch apasti butonul + al castilor). Multumita acestei schimbari veti putea boota un iDevice daca ati instalat un tweak care va impiedica sa faceti acest lucru si simpla apasare a butonului ar trebui sa permita terminalului sa se logheze in sistem. Totusi mobile substrate mai are cateva surprize deoarece acum nu mai este necesara resetarea dispozitivului pentru aplicarea update-urilor si plugin-ul este acum compatibil cu semi-tethered jailbreak-ul dezvoltat de BigBoss.

As of version 0.9.3997, you can now disable Substrate entirely by holding down Volume Up as the device boots. This feature allows you to bypass horribly broken extensions (ones that prevent the device from starting up at all) that you may have installed so you can open Cydia and uninstall them. To support devices that do not have a Volume Up button (the first-generation iPod touch), you can alternatively hold down the “Clicker” (not Volume Up) button on your headset or earphones.

As of version 0.9.3993, installing and upgrading MobileSubstrate no longer requires rebooting your device, ever. Substrate is also now compatible with the idea of a “semi-tethered” jailbreak.

Sadly, despite attempts to reach out on forums and even with personal pleas by SMS, we have been unable to get major theme artists to test any of our beta builds of WinterBoard so we can get feedback on any potential issues. Therefore, in addition to this release having been delayed by over a month, we have been able to get almost no verification that it actually still works. (If any theme artists are reading this, I will point you to the main depiction for details on the IRC channel we use to discuss bugs and development. ;P)
