Nexus One vs iPhone 3GS – comparative review

With the beginning of the year came the announcement of those from Google regarding the availability of the new one Nexus One starting with the first quarter of 2010, but even now the first reviews appeared with the help of which we could get an impression about the terminal of those from Google. With its launch, the first questions appeared regarding the ability to compete with iPhone and so I thought I'd present you a head 2 head between the 2 phones comparing them through the lens of the most important features.

Design : the design IPhone it is much finer and better thought out, the Nexus One is indeed thinner but it seems to look a little strange. Nexus One it only comes in the black version unlike iPhone which comes in both black and white versions. + 1 iPhone

display : in terms of sensitivity Nexus One it has a somewhat stiffer screen compared to iPhone and as well as dimensions: Nexus One – 3.7 inches, resolution 480 x 800 pixels; iPhone – 3.5 inches, 320 x 480 resolution. + 1 Nexus

CAmerica : Nexus One it has a 5 megapixel camera on the back that supports geotagging and smile detection and as a strong point it also has LED flash but does not support video recording; iPhone it has a 3.15 megapixel camera, geotagging and touch focus but supports native video recording. Although it does not support native video recording, Nexus One it is better in this aspect due to the much better hardware and the possibility to add video recording through an application. +1 Nexus

Memory : Nexus One has a RAM memory of 512 MB, double that of iPhone but an internal memory of only 512MB compared to 16/32GB on the iPhone Nexus One supports cards MicroSD up to 32GB. - in this chapter I would say that it is equal because the 512MB ram is overkill for a phone and the possibility of adding a charger compensates for the storage space it possesses iPhone.

: Nexus One runs the Android 2.1 operating system with screen AMOLED without multitouch yet unlike iPhone 3GS running iPhone OS based on Mac OSX with a TFT screen and multitouch technology implemented. +1 Nexus

Summing up the main qualities and taking into account the existing hardware on the 2 phones plus the way they behave in real life and the development of communities for each one separately, I would say that although Nexus One seems to be, from a hardware point of view, the best choice, the situation is a little different: AndroidOS is still poorly developed, the applications are very few (compared to the hundreds of thousands of AppStore + the thousands waiting to be accepted); the user community is considerably smaller; the lack of quality games and the fact that although it has a processor based on the platform Snapdragon of 1Ghz and 512MB ram still does not fully cope with the operating system having performance problems, I consider that iPhone 3GS still remains the best choice. I know that many will raise their eyebrows and say that I am a fanboy Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), but looking at the situation as a whole, I remain in my opinion because the applications are made of iPhone a great phone, and the lack of them on Android they will make you think what the hell you spent a few hundred euros on.
