SiManager 1.8 update

SiManager, the application of the Italian developer Giovani Chiappini which allows you to save and transfer contacts from iPhone on the card SIMs. and vice versa, it was updated these days to version 1.8 via Cydia. SiManager is the only application of this kind available on firmware 3.xx being the successor to the famous iSim application which became incompatible with OS 3.0 since launch.

The new version brings only 2 updates, but they are quite important, I say, here they are:

  • Added handling of new languages: Arabic, Cyrillic, and Chinese;
  • The maximum length of the name stored in the SIM in the SIM itself is read so as to allow new tabs to manage nomicon more than 14 characters are allowed in "old generation" cards.

For those interested, the application can be downloaded for free from the BeYouriPhone repo: http://repo.beyouriphone.com.

I made this announcement and while the application is in the beta period, I'm making it now because problems can arise at any time, save your AddressBook with your phone contacts by accessing the system files and navigating to: /private/var/ mobile/Library/AddressBook and copy the entire folder to your computer before starting.

Until then, I recommend that you use it for copying contacts, but with care.
