Norton will release an iPad/iPhone app

Symantec, the producer of the famous Norton Antivirus, and at the same time one of the largest companies producing computer security software in the world has announced that it will release an application for iPad / iPhone with the help of which users will be able to make a back-up of all the files on the device.

For now, it is not known if the application will also work with files, but the application will generate a link for each of the files, thus giving users the opportunity to access them online wherever they are. Although the application will generate these links, it is not yet known if we will actually be able to see the pictures/films or listen to music online or if we will only be able to download them to the device.

At the moment Symantec offers a similar service to the owners of Windows, the prices being $80 for 2GB of space and $100 for 25GB of space on their servers.

Symantec announced that it will send a beta version of the application in AppStore for approval in the coming weeks so we will know more then.
