Gameloft has sold over 20 million iOS apps

Gameloft is perhaps one of the most prominent companies that develop applications for the AppStore, Arriving to sell over 20 million paid applications. This figure represents the total sales since the opening of the Appstore in 2008, but it represents double the amount reported in January 2010, so in just 9 months the company sold 10 million applications and this demonstrates how much iOS has grown and how many iDevices -they sold during this period. Gameloft launched 47 games this year, 25 of them managed to reach the 1st place in the category of the most purchased applications and another 17 of them managed to reach the top 5.

"The first half of 2010 marks a new step for us on the App Store," declared Michel Guillemot, President of Gameloft. "The launch of the iPad and iPhone 4 has opened new horizons for developers and allowed us once again to transform our consumers' gaming experience. 20 million paid downloads is proof that our games meet the expectations of our players and we will continue to satisfy them."

Although it has managed to make tens or maybe hundreds of millions of dollars so far, Gameloft has not yet released some very very interesting games that will definitely "catch" gamers on iDevices: NFL 2011 HD, Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD, Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD, Dungeon Hunter 2, Gangstar: Miami Vindication, Star Battalion and Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus.

I am a fan of the games made by Gameloft because, personally, I think they have the best games in the AppStore.
