11.8 million iPhone terminals sold by Apple in the 4th quarter of 2010

iPhone 4 is without question the most successful product in the entire history of the Apple company because it contributed to what is estimated to be the most profitable quarter for the sales of iPhone terminals since their launch in June 2007. The Americans from Fotrune magazine estimated that in the fourth quarter of 2010, Apple managed to sell 11.8 million iPhone terminals, that is, almost 50% more than sold in the first quarter of 1, which currently "holds" the record for profitability. This colossal increase is registered against the background of very big problems with stocks for the iPhone 2010 terminal, so if it had managed to keep up with Apple's demand, it would probably have set a record that would be hard to topple.

Of all its products, none is more important to Apple's bottom line than its smartphone, which generated $5.4 billion in fiscal Q3 — 40% of the company's total revenue. The iPhone 4, launched three days before the end of that quarter, has been in short supply ever since, making it trickier than usual for analysts trying to estimate sales in advance of Apple's quarterly earnings report.

As Fortune says, the iPhone is Apple's most important product considering that in the 3rd quarter it generated 40% of the company's revenues. My opinion is that this quarter the sales of iPhone terminals will exceed 50% of the company's total revenue and I hope that Apple will offer better and better equipped products year after year because it seems that their products are more and more more wanted.
