Apple modifies the rules regarding the warranty of products that have come into contact with water

As you probably already know, all phones in the world (and not only) have liquid indicators that are activated when the terminal comes into contact with water, and in the case of sending such a device for warranty, it will be refused if those indicators are activated. Of course, Apple products also have such indicators and until now Apple had a very strict policy regarding these indicators, more precisely if only one indicator (either from the headphone port or from the USB port) was activated, then the warranty was refused. Recent Apple has modified these rules regarding iPod terminals, so that if such a device is brought under warranty showing signs of contact with water at an external indicator then the respective terminal must be opened and the warranty will be refused only if the internal indicators have also been activated .

It is not known what motivated the people from Apple to change the rules, but I say that it is a very good idea because sometimes these sensors were activated by themselves due to humidity. Although for now the changes refer only to iPod terminals, I am sure that in the near future Apple will change the rules for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad terminals as well.
