The iPhone 4 baseband is difficult to decode

With each new iPhone, Apple improves its methods of securing the baseband chip, thus making it more difficult to decode. The iPhone 4 was no exception and unfortunately the baseband chip of this terminal is different from the iPhone 3G/3GS and requires a bit more work to implement a decoding exploit, which is the reason why the Dev Team chose to launch today the decoding solution for iPhone3G/3GS and not to wait until it has one for iPhone 4 as well.

Although the Dev Team has not specified a date for the release of the new decoding solution, it should still be available during December, maybe by Christmas or even earlier if everything goes smoothly. However, the fact that the team is working on an untethered jailbreak solution should be taken into account, so the decoding could be secondary and priority will most likely be the untethered jailbreak solution for all terminals. Be patient, the solution is on the way.
