Motorola Xoom is the first tablet to run Android Honeycomb, the Android operating system made especially for tablets. Motorola has been working on this tablet for a long time and I'm glad they didn't rush because the result is very very interesting and I have the courage to call it, for now, the first iPad killer presented at CES. The operating system looks very good, much better than the version for smartphones, I like how everything is thought and arranged and to be honest it reminds me of iOS for iPad. The new operating system should be able to run the existing applications in the Android Market, so this is a big plus compared to the tablet Playbook e.g.

I like that Motorola Xoom seems to be made "with a head" and I say this because it has very powerful hardware and has a GSM chip that can work on both 3G and 4G networks and this will represent a great advantage for Americans who will pass soon to 4G networks. In general, the Motorola Xoom has almost everything that the iPad 2 will have, minus the dual core processor from the Tegra 2 platform, but from Apple we can expect something similar, but manufactured by the company in its own laboratories. I see that Motorola learned something from Apple, to make interesting presentations that keep you connected to the screen, well done, I hope they learned something about promotion.

Here are the hardware specifications of the tablet:

So, does the Motorola Xoom deserve the title of iPad killer or not? "What say you"?
