Although Nokia gave up on Meego, here is Intel continuing development project and at MWC 2011, a first tablet running this operating system was presented. Unfortunately, Meego is far from being implemented in tablets produced on an industrial scale because, as you can see, the whole experience leaves much to be desired. Switching between menus is difficult, opening applications is just as cumbersome and it's a shame because the operating system looks quite good. A company like Intel could develop this operating system much faster and better than Nokia could, and Intel has behind it an extremely well-developed infrastructure that could easily support the development and launch of such a tablet.
Personally, I was more than impressed with Meego right from the first video clips in which it was demonstrated, I would like to see it in a mainstream tablet or smartphone, but until then there is still a lot of work to do.
