Here are the traces that can remain on the iPad screen after using certain applications

Starting with the iPhone 3GS, Apple started treating iDevice screens with a solution called oleophobic which should protect the screen from scratches but should "remove" the traces of normal use of the screen. Practically, this solution should prevent the appearance of "fingerprints" on the screens of our iDevices, but you more than likely already know that the method implemented by Apple does not work nearly as well as the company promotes.
