After the iPad 2 presentation, Samsung is thinking of implementing new hardware in the Galaxy Tab 10.1

Whether you want to believe it or not, iPad 2 generated "fear" among competitors and Samsung is the first tablet manufacturer to say that it will rethink its strategy regarding the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The vice president of Samsung, Lee Don-Joo, a declared in an interview given to a newspaper from South Korea that certain components of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 are inadequate and will have to be reconsidered considering the recently presented iPad 2. On Wednesday, Apple presented the thinnest tablet in the world (correct me if I'm wrong) with hardware similar to the other tablets, a much improved iOS, but Samsung is the first "victim" in the tablet war.

Korea's Yonhap News Agency reports, in consideration of the iPad 2's 8.8-millimeter aluminum body. "We will have to improve the parts that are inadequate," Lee Don-joo, EVP of Samsung's mobile business, told Yonhap. "Apple made it very thin."

It is interesting that Samsung is thinking not only to change hardware components but also to have a much more aggressive pricing policy. The VP of the company claimed that initially the Galaxy Tab 10.1 would cost more than the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, but following Apple's announcement, the pricing strategy will be changed and the tablet will be sold much cheaper.

"The 10-inch [Galaxy Tab] was to be priced higher than the 7-inch [Galaxy Tab] but we will have to think that over."

Apple waited for everyone to present the products and then "attacked" with a product that left many speechless. It is as clear as possible that Apple sets the standards for tablets sold on the market, this announcement from Samsung is the clearest proof.
