Immediately after the launch of the iPad 2, iFixyouri got their hands on a tablet and opened it up to see what was hidden inside. They noticed that the screen of the iPad 2 tablet is 27% thinner than that of the iPad and for some this reduction in thickness translated into an increase in fragility. In reality, the thinner screen in the iPad 2 is much larger flexible than the one in the iPad and it withstands shocks, falls or similar tests much better.

As you can see in the video clip above, the screen of the iPad 2 tablet "heroically" resisted both tests done from 1/2 inch high, while the iPad screen proved to be much more fragile. In conclusion, if you get an iPad 2 tablet, you should worry about spots on the screen, backlight bleeding or software bugs and not about the fragility of the screen.
