Angry Birds Rio – 10 million downloads in 10 days

The game Angry Birds Rio was released last week, but it is already starting to set new records in terms of downloads from the AppStore. Those from pocketgamer I claim that the game recorded no less than 10 million downloads in the 10 days of availability in the Apple app store. The game is still available in the Amazon app store, but also in the Android Marketplace and together with the AppStore, the downloads totaled 10 million in 10 days. Those from Rovio only summarized a say on Twitter that the game scored 10 out of 10, so it is undoubtedly a success from all points of view.

The game was made in collaboration with the 20th Century Fox studios for the promotion of the movie Rio and apparently both sides had a lot to gain from it.
