Lima is a new web application that is under development and will allow iDevices owners to install applications and packages from Cydia directly from the Safari browser. In the video clip above we have a demonstration of how the application works and you can see that everything practically resembles the interface in Cydia. We have categories in the application where we can find any application/tweak from Cydia nicely ordered exactly like in the application only that everything is done from a browser. What I don't see there is a search function among the available applications/tweaks and this is a big big disadvantage compared to Cydia. The interesting part is that we have the possibility to install packages/applications but also to do a respring, so almost all the facilities of the Cydia application.

For those who do not want Cydia, the solution is quite good and will probably be used by many. For now, Lima is in the testing phase, but probably in the near future it will be available in beta version for everyone. Of course, a jailbreak will still be needed to install the respective tweaks/applications.
