iOS application developers and the in-app purchases system licensed by Apple

The other day I was telling you about a US company that announced several iOS application developers that he will sue them for using the in-app purchases system without the consent of that company. At that time, everyone was confused, no one knew what was happening, especially since Apple had made this system available to developers. Yesterday Lodsys, the company that sent out the notifications to all developers, clarified things through a blog made especially for this. It seems that Lodsys already has an agreement ENDED with Apple regarding the use of the in-app purchases system, but that agreement gives the company the opportunity to use the system only for itself. Lodys and Apple do not have an agreement concluded for the AppStore, and Lodsys sued the application developers because they are the ones who did not license the in-app purchases system.

Now the problem is that iOS application developers cannot license the Lodsys system because the terms and conditions for using the iOS SDK prohibit them from doing so. The whole problem revolves around the Lodsys company, which most likely wants to squeeze even more money from Apple, considering that it can't from developers anyway. Basically, the developers are collateral victims in an attempt by those from Lodsys to sign a new contract with Apple and probably with Microsoft or Google who also licensed this system of in-app purchases.

So far, Apple has had absolutely nothing to say about this, but it has to defend its developers who have no fault in this whole problem.
