Video: Dot brings panoramic video shooting to iPhone

Dot is an iPhone accessory that allows us to record panoramic videos very simply and easily. The accessory consists of a panoramic lens that we can attach to our iPhone and that records video clips at an angle of 360 degrees. Dot practically records everything that happens around or regardless of the position from which we are looking. Notice in the video clip above that the recordings cannot be seen correctly in the Camera application of our terminal, but using the Dot application we can turn them into panoramic video clips. We can navigate through the video stream to see absolutely everything that happened around the camera when it was filmed.

Dot lets your iPhone capture immersive, fully navigable, panoramic video in real-time – and share with friends on your phone, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, or streamed online using our awesome panoramic video web platform and player.

Dot is an accessory that will be developed in the future and will be available in many more forms, but at the moment that's all we have. I think that this technology will "catch on" very well among users, the proof is also the fact that the Dot project obtained the necessary money for financing from kickstarter.com one month before the end of the donation session. When it is ready, Dot will cost $99, money for which I received the accessory and the special software for video clips.
