iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S II, WWDC 2011 and iPhone 5

After a very short time after the official launch, Samsung Galaxy S II made the first victim in Great Britain. The iPhone 4 was surpassed in sales by the Samsung Galaxy S II in May in Great Britain and for Apple this could be the beginning of the decline. iPhone 4 has been available for purchase for 1 year, so for many it is no longer a priority, especially since WWDC is just a few days away and many are still waiting for the release of a new iPhone model. All the rumors released so far suggest that the new iPhone will only be released in the fall, but will the success of the Samsung Galaxy S II convince Apple to ship things?

To forget Samsung Galaxy S II iPhone 5 must bring something new, in fact it must bring more new things, not just a better processor and a powerful graphic chip. I don't think a design change would be necessary, but the implementation of new functions such as NFC, the implementation of a better camera, more RAM, a larger screen, all of these would convince many people not to buy Android. Of course, we must not forget about iOS 5, which will represent a major change, according to those from TechCrunch, and where the hardware won't convince you, the software and the big application store will. These are the great assets of Apple and if until now they have kept iDevices in the top of the most sought after products, here is that in May the situation was completely different and not only in Great Britain.

Since last year, iPhone sales have dropped a lot in May because everyone knows the Apple tradition: WWDC brings a new iPhone model. This year things could be different because Apple is preparing major changes in iOS and iPhone 5 without iOS 5 cannot be launched on the market. If iOS 5 is not ready, then the iPhone 5 will not arrive on the market without it, but will the success of SGS II convince Apple to expedite the launch? I think it's not because Apple doesn't really allow itself to be influenced by such things, especially since this increase in the Samsung Galaxy S II could be the cause of postponing the purchase of some iPhone terminals in order to wait for the new model.

I for one believe that the Samsung Galaxy S II will conquer more markets soon if Apple does not release another iPhone, but the moment of glory of those from Samsung will be forgotten in the fall when Apple will return to everyone's attention, that of course if things they will unfold like this.
