iOS 5 will bring a lot functions new not only for iDevices but also for Apple TV 2G which will allow users to connect a Bluetooth keyboard. The current version of iOS for Apple TV 2G does not allow the connection of such a keyboard, but iOS 5 already has an implemented system that will allow the connection of a Bluetooth keyboard exactly as we have demonstrated in the clip above. The Bluetooth function can be activated from the settings menu of the Apple TV 2G and for now Apple only allows the connection of keyboards, but I'm sure that through jailbreak it will be possible to connect almost any kind of Bluetooth accessory.
The interesting part is that Apple could also allow the running of applications from the App Store on Apple TV 2G, and in these conditions connecting a keyboard seems to make sense. An internet browser would need a keyboard to input words but also a mouse so maybe the Magic Mouse could soon be connected to the Apple TV 2G. On the other hand, I think that Apple will leave open a port for connecting gaming accessories and in this way users will be able to start games from the App Store on Apple TV 2G and play quietly using their own gamepad.
Of course, everything is speculation at the moment, but iOS 5 seems to be full of new functions, so we can hope for almost anything.
