Apple could release a new iMac series at the end of 2011

Today Apple published some technical details related to the new LED Cinema Display that started to be delivered to users yesterday. In the document I am in present the technical details of the new products Apple lists the Macs that can be used to connect several monitors and in the section dedicated to iMac we notice that Apple lists a "late 2011 iMac", i.e. an iMac that we should see released sometime towards the end of the year . Apple has a mention for that entry and in it it talks about The iMac dedicated to the educational environment but that iMac doesn't have Thunderbolt ports.

iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) with two Thunderbolt ports supports a total of two Thunderbolt displays regardless of which Thunderbolt port each display is connected to.

For now, there is no additional information to indicate that Apple could launch a new iMac this year, and what the company presents to us is more than surprising. Probably someone made a mistake in the listings or maybe a web developer published some information that we were not supposed to know yet. Probably that entry will be removed from the technical document published by Apple and the company will try to forget the whole "mistake", but now we will see some rumors about an iMac released at the end of 2011.
